Hide your ashes underneath the half-shelf to keep it pristine between cleanings. NOTE: Clean with a soft cloth. Keep water and other liquids away from the ashtray as much as possible as they can corrode the finish.

Less damage than I anticipated given the discount. Neither form nor function is affected in a negative way. There is intricate beauty in the subtle imperfections that make this ashtray unique.
Reminds me of one my grandmother had in her home in the 70s. Will order again when I need a great gift.
