Created in 1970 by Achille Castiglioni, one of the most famous Italian product designers of the 20th century, the Spirale ashtray is named for the inventive steel spiral that sits along its lip — its coils can hold rolled smokes when you're in between puffs, and it can be lifted out for easy cleaning.
